The best way to store freshly baked bread is in a cotton bag. This cotton bag is the same material we use for our couche; heavy with a nice tight weave.
Cotton works well as it helps maintain some moisture while still having some crust texture. It is better than plastic container for keeping some crust texture - but of course you lose moisture over a couple of days. You can place the cotton bag inside a plastic bag.
