Motherdough Luxury Christmas Cake in a Box
You've never had a box cake like this.
This kit contains everything you need to create the most delicious rich, dark, moist and very boozy fruit cake for Christmas. The only ingredients you need to add are Motherdough discard, butter, eggs and fresh zest of orange & lemon.
The cake is decadent and packed full of all the luxury you would expect in a celebration cake. We've done all the shopping. The recipe is available on the Motherdough Recipe Index and instructions provided in the box.
This is a family tradition, handed down by my granny Yvonne and made even tastier with the use of Motherdough discard. Bake now and feed weekly.
Makes 2 X 600g or 1 X 1,2kg cake.
The kit contains:
Dried fruit base: Currants, Sultanas, Raisins, Cranberries, Pitted dates, Mixed peel, Slivered almonds, Glazed cherry pieces
Stoneground cake flour, Plain flour, Cocoa, Salt, Baking powder, Ground spice mix (Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Cloves, Ginger), Treacle sugar, Molasses
(You add Motherdough discard, eggs, butter, water)
Garnish: Glazed cherries red & green, Hazelnuts, Pecan nuts, Whole almonds, Brazil nuts
Soaking and feed solution: Cane sugar, Dark rum, Medium cream sherry, 5yr brandy, Spiced gold, Ceylon tea bags
