The Motherdough U "Sourdough in a Day" course looks at the perfect realisation of a classic sourdough loaf in in a single day. 

The course focuses on Motherdough's Classic Sourdough Boule recipe from beginning to end, as well as culture care.  The day is paced to enable contemplation and focus on each step on a journey to perfection. 

At the end of the day you will be able to:

  • Care for your motherdough and know how to keep her balanced and healthy.

  • Understand the construction of the recipe and see the effects of ingredients such as oil and bakers malt. 

  • Learn how to tell when gluten is developed, proving is optimal, your bread is fully baked.

  • Unpack the variables that affect fermentation and how to manage them.
  • Use your mixer effectively for the recipe.

  • Master this base recipe which will serve you well as a solid foundation for all your future sourdough baking.
The course is hosted at the Motherdough Studio in Woodstock and space is limited to only 6 participants.

This 1-day immersion is a fantastic gift idea too. 

The course is held on Thursdays from 9am to 5pm. It includes a light lunch. Every participant also receives a free Motherdough culture.
