This is your nonna in the cupboard.
Sugo is not just tomato puree. This is the flavour of an Italian summer trapped in a bottle.
To make our sugo, we select plump ripe tomatoes and then leave them in the sun for a day or two. Then, we cook these tomatoes with some salt, onion and extra virgin olive oil before crushing them through our Italian tomato press.
We bottle and pasteurise the sauce. just like Italian families do together each summer.
Use this sugo as a base to create delicious pasta sauces, amatriciana - add pancetta, arrabiata - add chilli...
Use your imagination, but ...
please add no chicken and go easy on the cream!
