Use this lame to score you breads and sign them with your own unique mark.
Our lame has an ergonomic handle that is comfortable to grip with a strong sturdy 18/8 stainless steel mount to hold the blade.
The birch handle is sealed with a food grade oil hardened resin.
This lame helps to score the bread to create "ears," as the curved blade held parallel to the counter creates a flap as you cut.
The handle comes with 5 blades and a small genuine leather blade cover.

South AfricaI own another lame, artistically carved and housed in a wooden round, sold by a well known local chef. But this product from Motherdough takes the cake! The long handle makes it a joy to use, especially when your loaf is already in the very hot dutch oven. I also find that the curved blade works much better for scoring than the straight one on my other lame.
